Day 01             Mangalore – Chikmagalur

Arrive Mangalore airport / railway station  and leave by road for Chikmagalur

Arrive and transfer to hotel.

Evening to leisure

Day 02             Chikmagalur

Breakfast at hotel.

Later leave on tour to visit :-

    • Angadi: - Historians have identified Angadi as Sasakapura or Sosevur, the original home of Hoyasalas who held sway in vast swathes of South India. The shrine here has pillars of granite with cylindrical shafts and hemi spherical mouldings.
    • Belavadi - The pilgrimage of Belavadi is dotted with a number of ancient temples and shrines. The Veeranarayana temple is a supreme example of Hoysala temple architecture.
    • Coffee Plantations - Sprawling coffee plantations dot the landscape of this hill station. As a major coffee producing hub of the country, it hosts a number of coffee curing centers where the raw coffee is dried, shelled, winnowed, graded and packed. When coffee bushes blossom in April, the whole area is filled with the exquisite fragrance of the brilliant white flowers. The Central Coffee Research Institute is located in the district.
    • The Baba Budangiri Hills - are named after the Muslim saint, Baba Budan, who took up residence here in the 17th century. The Baba Budan Shrine is revered by both the Hindus and Muslims and thousands of devotees throng the shrine for the blessing of the peer. A complex of three caves can be found here, believed to have been sanctified by 3 revered siddhas whose icons and 'gaddinges' (tombs) are located in the caves.

Day 03             Chikmagalur – Coorg                (approx. 160 kms / 04 hrs)

After Breakfast leave for Coorg

Enroute visit: • Visit - Tibetan monastery • Nisargadhama

Arrive Coorg and transfer to hotel

COORG - called as the Scotland of India is a marvelous hill station located in the southern part of Karnataka. It is a small district of the state with distinct culture, unique customs and traditions. The people of Coorg are known as Kodavas or Coorgies. The misty hills, lush green valleys, evergreen forests, breath taking waterfalls will definitely lure one’s eyes. The region is surrounded by coffee plantations, orange groves, cardamom, pepper plants and dense forests. Cauvery one of the major rivers of South India takes birth at Talakaveri in Coorg. The people of Kodagu are known for their hospitality and bravery.

Day 04             Coorg – tour

Later leave on half day tour to visit :-

    • Talakaveri (44 kms from Coorg) - set amid Brahmagiri hills is the source of Cauvery River, with the Talacauvery Temple built around it, Baghamandala. This Brahmagiri is situated amidst green hills. The river begins here as a small perennial spring, but flows underground again to emerge a short distance away. Apart from a major pilgrimage center it is also an important tourist spot in Karnataka. There are temples at Talakaveri of Agasthyeshwara and Lord Ganapathi.
    • You may just relax and explore local markets and enjoy plantation views. Adventure oriented guests can opt for walk / trek.or visit Now or Neverland Adventure park in West Coorg. Experiential travellers may opt for a Plantation Lunch.
    • Raja's Seat - According to legend, the kings of Kodagu spent their evenings here. But what's unforgettable about Raja's seat is the spectacular sunset that one can enjoy from here.
    • Madikeri Fort - This 19th century fort, in the centre of Madikeri, houses a temple, a chapel, prison and a small museum. The fort offers a beautiful view of Madikeri.

Day 05             Coorg – tour

Later leave on tour to visit :-

    • Omkareshwar Temple is an ancient and magnificent temple situated near Madikeri Fort. It is one of the top places of pilgrimage in Madikeri and also one of the popular places of pilgrimage in Coorg.
    • Dubare Elephant Camp – At a distance of 29 km from Madikeri, Dubare Elephant Camp is an elephant training center situated on the banks of the river Cauvery in Kodagu district of Karnataka. Dubare is a natural island formed by Cauvery River. Dubare is one of the most famous places to visit in Coorg and also one of the top attractions
    • Golden Temple / Tibetan Monastery – Bylakuppe : the Golden Temple or Namdroling Monastery is a beautiful Buddhist Monastery situated in Bylakuppe. Bylakuppe is the second largest Tibetans settlement in India after Dharamshala.

Day 06                Coorg – Waynad           (approx. 120 kms / 04 hrs)

After relaxed breakfast at hotel,   leave for Wayanad. 

WAYANAD - is a district located in the north-east region of the Indian state of Kerala, at the southernmost tip of the Deccan Plateau.It is known for its cool highland climate, misty peaks and its virgin forests. Wayanad also played a prominent role in the history of the subcontinent. It is often called the spice garden of the south, the land of paddy fields, and the home of the monsoon...

On reaching, transfer to hotel.

Overnight:  in Wayanad

 

Day 07             Vythiri – Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary      (approx. 02 hrs)

Later leave to visit Wayanad wildlife sanctuary

Wayand wildlife sanctuary situates along the northern region of Wayanad, which is bordering Coorg district of Karnataka. Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary is connected to Muthanga and to the Nagarhole National Park in Karnataka, and is an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. Flanked by towering mountain ranges on all four sides, Tholpetty covers an area of 345 SqKm. The sanctuary's deciduous forest cover, rich in bio-diversity, is home to 900-odd wild elephants, apart from numerous other species of animals.

Later leave to visit :-   Pookot Lake;   Soojipara Falls;   Kuriva Islands; Eddakal Caves

Day 09                 Wayanad to Kozikode – depart    (approx. 03 hrs)

After Breakfast leave for Kozikode (Calicut)

On reaching transfer to airport / railway station
